Sam Baker is the faculty director of the eComma project. He is an assistant professor in the English department of the University of Texas at Austin and has recently completed a book about British Romantic writers and the sea, entitled Written on the Water: British Romanticism and the Maritime Empire of Culture (forthcoming from the University of Virginia Press in 2009).
Travis Brown is the chief programmer and an assistant director of the eComma Project. He is a doctoral student in the English department, and studies British romantic narrative poetry, prosody, and computational linguistics. Katharine Beutner is head of development and serves as the second assistant director. She is an English doctoral student and is writing a dissertation on conflict between literary women in the early eighteenth century.
